Dua Lipa Wore a Knotted Green Sweater Dress for Pre

Dua Lipa has kicked off her public Met Gala co-chair duties, wearing a green Marc Jacbos knotted sweater ensemble to attend a pre-Met Gala dinner. Lipa's hair was styled down, and she completed her look with knee-high black lace-up boots. Beauty-wise, Lipa had a dramatic lined eye and contoured cheeks, and a pretty peach lip.

Lipa will be back out again this evening at the Met itself and, as co-chair, will adhere very closely to the night's theme, "Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty."

Lipa spoke to Glamour UK in September about her approach to beauty, perhaps hinting at what's to come later at the year's biggest fashion event.

"I’m super inspired by the cool makeup looks people are doing online," Lipa said. "I love experimenting with colors, and gems, and glitter–and that's also really fun for my tour. I get so inspired from fashion, and traveling, and just people watching. You experience so much from different cities, and the energy, and you go to a fun club, and you see the dancers. I think that helps guide what I like to wear makeup-wise. Plus, just seeing people be really experimental and creative with their makeup online gives me inspiration. It's so cool how expressive they are. It took me a little while to learn how to do my own makeup. I was very lucky that my makeup artist [Samantha Lau] sat me down and showed me how to use everything that's in my makeup bag, which was really nice. But I'm always so in awe of people who are so talented and doing cool looks and stuff, so I'm practicing."
