Dua Lipa just put her own spin on the graphic tees trend that was a staple in the '00s. Posing for an Instagram Story selfie on July 19, the star showed off her statement tee du jour casually, and we have the details on where you can get her exact look.
Laying on what looked to be a couch, Dua gave followers a peek at her studio time using a filter while clad in casual clothes. "I live in the studio at this point," she captioned the story image.
For her OOTD, Dua wore a graphic tee from designer Maxine Beiny (which is still available for purchase) paired with a camel monogram skirt by Balenciaga. The navy cotton tee features the words "now we're talking" in blue glitter vinyl lettering and it's a whole mood, especially when worn in a creative setting like Dua's case. (Sometimes you need to let your tee do the talking while in meetings!)
Though once frowned upon, graphic tees have made a steady comeback among celebs these days. Not long ago, Euphoria star Chloe Cherry arrived at Coachella in a lol-worthy graphic tee and denim mini skirt. Halsey also donned a cropped tee with a message during a recent performance and, as noted by Glamour UK, stars like Kendall and Kylie Jenner, Gigi Hadid, and Kristen Stewart have also been spotted in graphic shirts recently.
We're particularly excited about this resurgence of this once-popular trend, especially considering its celebrity-backed past. Britney Spears once made headlines with her iconic "Dump Him" tee, while Paris Hilton spent much of the '00s in various statement tees, including one that read "Queen of the Universe." If you're ready to embrace the pop star-approved look, now is definitely the time to try wearing your heart on your tee.
We'll have to wait and see whether Dua Lipa continues sporting the ‘00s-inspired look, but this isn't the first time she has favored Maxine Beiny's graphic designs. Graphic tees aside, she's also constantly kept us guessing with her many fashionable ‘fits. Some of her most recent looks included a stage-ready dress adorned in sequins and a sheer, monochromatic dress that had so many details to it.
