Primark is selling a cropped denim jacket which looks nearly identical to one sold by Zara- but for a lot cheaper - so I decided to visit Liverpool's Primark store and make my own mind up.
A denim jacket really is the perfect piece to add to an outfit, especially for the upcoming summer nights. It pulls looks together by adding that extra layer.
Primark, which is hugely popular in Liverpool, has become known for its designer dupes in recent years, often selling alternative versions to high-end products for much less.

The Primark description read: "Don't let your jacket spoil your look by choosing this equally stylish cropped denim jacket. It benefits from a point collar, long sleeves, button fastening and front flap pockets for the classic appearance, while the distressed hem offers an edgy vibe that we’re loving.
"In a crisp white shade, it's perfect for layering over your off-duty outfits for added warmth and style points. Why not wear it solo with tailored trousers and block heels for a chic evening ensemble? With credentials like that, we can see you reaching for this jacket over and over again!"
The jacket:
After finding the Primark Cropped Denim Jacket, they had my size in stock. The full size range of the jacket is from XXS to XL. However, the full range of sizes were not available in store.
It was apparent straight away just how alike the two jackets were. The Primark jacket featured the same frayed edging around the jacket as well as on the collar. Even down to the same metallic silver buttons and stitching, you wouldn't be able to tell the jackets apart if they were next to each other.
The verdict:
Even on the hanger, I knew how much I was going to love this jacket when I tried it on. But, I didn't think I would love it as much as I did when I tried it on in the changing rooms.
I just had my work clothes on when trying the Primark jacket on and even just with my wide leg trousers and trainers, it was such a lovely look. I can't wait to wear the jacket, it will be a staple item of clothing over the upcoming summer months which can be worn at festivals, BBQs, picnics, garden parties or for bottomless brunch for a chic summer look.
The jacket sat at my waist due to the cropped style but I loved it at this length as I am only 5 ft 1. However, I would say to size up in the jacket as the crop of it is short, so if you still want a more oversized look then definitely size up.
Overall, I was so impressed with the Primark jacket that I had to buy it. The Cropped Denim Jacket is priced at £20, while the Zara version would set you back £29.99. This means you could save £9.99 by opting for the dupe.
While Primark doesn't offer an online shop, the retailer does have a website where shoppers can see its latest products and check if they're in stock before heading into stores to purchase them. The £20 cropped denim jacket is in stores now.
